Directions to the summit
1. Leave your car and head east along the road.
2. There is an electricity tower as you enter the National Park. Navigate your way east and down to the saddle.
3. There is a good view of Mount Walker here as the downhill really begins.
4. Where the road meets the river there is a nice campsite.
5. Cross the river at the ford. You will have to get your feet wet. If there has been recent rain you may not be able to cross.
6. Head straight up the hill till you reach an intersection. Turn left and keep going up.
7. The best views on the mountain are from a rocky lookout to the left of the track.
8. The last stretch is a very steep fire trail straight up to the top.
